As always, we had a great time at Lial. Though small in numbers, we were powerful in content with our sweet ice cream theme! (And yes, we ate ice cream for dessert!) We were inspired by devotional thoughts from Judy Gyde and Diane Clark; we learned how to “give cliches the deep freeze,” how to create characters, and how to do some new things with social media. We wrapped up our time by sharing some writing tips. We also had several hours to just hang out together or get some writing done (most of us did some combination of the two!). Our retreat sundae was topped with Martha’s great meals!
Here’s one tip (for those who missed the retreat) from the excellent article 5 Reasons Fellow Writers are Essential to Your Writing Life: “Find a tribe!”
Well, guess what – that’s what this group is! You’ve found us. Now, stay connected and achieve your writing dreams! For more, here’s the article: http://www.writersdigest.com/online-editor/5-reasons-fellow-writers-essential-writing-life
Looking ahead: Next year we will have our retreat on April 27-28. Set the time aside now for a great time of refreshment and writing!
